The state has announced the remaining qualifiers for next week’s state track meet. The Spartans will be represented well, qualifying numerous events. Qualifiers include:
Boys 4x100, 4x200, and sprint medley relay.
Girls 4x100, 4x200, 4x400, spring medley relay
Lexi Lander in the shot put, Calvin Coffman in the long jump, and Josh Heather in the long jump and 100m dash.
The Spartan girls 4x100 team qualified for the state track meet. Josh Heather also qualified for state in the long jump. There are several others with a chance to qualify based on time, but that won’t be announced until tomorrow afternoon. Spartan PRIDE!!
The HS band and choir concert on Monday, May 13 will begin at 7:00 pm. We apologize for the confusion on the start time.

The HS boys and girls district track meet has been postponed until tomorrow (Friday, May 9) @ Sioux Central.

The MS track team had a great week of competition. The boys won team championships at our home meet and at West Harrison. The girls got second place as a team at the home meet. Tuesday the boys brought home a second place finish in the Western Valley Conference meet! Spartan PRIDE!!
The West Monona HS Art Dept is hosting a celebration of the visual arts from 5-7 pm, May 14th, in the high school library. Students will be showcasing their favorite art works directly before Awards Night at 7:00 pm.
