Congratulations from the Bureau of Career and Technical Education (CTE) at the Iowa Department of Education (DOE)! Enya Martinez is one of five nominees from Iowa to be invited to apply for the national CTE Presidential Scholars Program.  The U.S. Presidential CTE Scholars program is a high profile, highly competitive national award.  Enya was nominated as Iowa's representative to be among the best of the best in the nation for your Career and Technical Education involvement and service, leadership, character and academic achievement.  The U.S Presidential Scholars Program was established by President Lyndon Johnson in 1964, and since that time, the program has honored more than over 7,500 outstanding high school seniors.  The mission of the program is to recognize and honor outstanding high school seniors, and thereby encourage high attainment among all students.  West Monona would like to Congratulate Enya Martinez on her nomination for this award.
