October is Bully Prevention month, and West Monona Elementary students are learning all about how to recognize, report, and refuse bullying. We also have a Kindness Challenge for all students and staff!
Pre-K through 2nd grade students are challenged to complete a tic-tac-toe with 9 random acts of kindness, while the 3-5 students and staff are challenged to complete 4 acts of kindness on a bingo sheet. Once students or staff members complete their challenge, their picture will be posted in the lunchroom for everyone to see. We have had over 70 students in all complete the challenge!
It is our hope that these kind acts continue throughout the school year.
Good luck everyone, and remember-- BE THE “I” in KIND!
